Luxembourg is a Member State of Benelux and of the European Union, and is home to the headquarters of several European institutions such as the European Court of Justice, the European Court of Auditors, the Secretariat of the European Parliament and the European Investment Bank. Luxembourg is also a Member State of NATO and of the OECD, among other organisations.
The economic, social and political climate of the country is very stable, with low inflation, a low unemployment and a continuous rate of growth.
Luxembourg is also known for its financial industry, which today is one of the main drivers of its economy and attracts highly qualified foreign financial professionals to Luxembourg.
There are three official languages: French, German and Luxembourgish, although the country’s population is usually fluent in other languages, including English, Italian and Portuguese and, perhaps to a more limited extent, Spanish.
